![]() Keep poking around until it tries to, hrm, kill you.” (upon mission start, variant) Alad V: “I know that an Acolyte is here somewhere. Alad V had dialogue lines during these missions. The Tenno were still responsible for completing the mission as normal if the Tenno took too long to kill the Acolyte and a Capture target escaped or life support ran out, the mission would fail and the Tenno would not get the Acolyte’s mod drop. Once it spawned, the Tenno had to fight against it until they had inflicted enough damage to cause it to flee, whereupon it would drop a single mod from its drop table. Thus, the map would need to be explored thoroughly. The Acolyte would be hidden in a specific room, chosen at random, and this could either be a room on the main mission path or a dead-end side room. To battle an Acolyte, the Tenno had to enter the listed mission and search for it. Once they had been found, the node would be listed under their names on the event window, and all Tenno were able to fight them (if they had completed the Stage 1 missions). Tenno had to play mission nodes all across the System in order to find them. Three of them showed up on the Navigation Console: Angst, Mania, and Torment. I've used them for externals, internals, (3.5"), and even a 2.5" laptop SSD. However, I don’t think the new one would be much faster spare the fact that it has twice as much cache.Ī few years ago, I switched exclusively to WD for my desktop hard drives and haven't looked back. Overall Review: It is worth mentioning that since I run a mirroring RAID set up, my test speeds are limited by the slowest drive which is most likely my older 1 TB drive. You notice it when the machine starts up, but as long as it isn't next to your head, it shouldn't bother you. The only thing I could really complain about is that this drive does make a little bit of noise, but I can’t say that it is really any worse than my other disk drives. And this one hasn’t, so I can’t complain about that. Once you do that, you're good to go.Ĭons: Again, there isn’t much to say about a hard drive unless it stops working. Set up is the same as any other new drive you must initialize it and format it in Windows, or do it during windows installation. It also has 64 mb of cache for better access times. This drive features SATA 6 to take advantage of its capabilities. Newegg doesn’t officially list any speeds for this drive, but in my experience, this is right around where my existing physical hard disk drives max out. I am seeing up to 120 MB/s read and 100 MB/s write across both drives (see “other” section). My current set up uses a 120 GB SSD (550 MB/s read/500 MB/s write) along with this drive and another older 1 TB WD (Caviar) Black drive in a RAID 1 set up. I can’t comment on the reliability of this drive as I’ve only put about 100 hours on it, but if it is anything like the other WD drives I’ve used, it should be good for many years. I have only had one failure, and that was a drive that had been in constant use for more than 6 years. I’m glad to report that this drive not only works, but it’s pretty quick, too.Īfter struggling with several other brands of hard drive makers, I switched to Western Digital a few years back. ![]() Otherwise, as long as it works, it makes most everyone happy. Occasionally, you get a drive that arrives DOA or dies shortly after you install it. Pros: For a hard drive, there isn’t much that can be really good or bad. ![]() *All tests were conducted three times to ensure accuracy and repeatability of results. Not related to the drive but Newegg’s new hard drive packaging is fantastic as the drive is held together so tightly I could barely get it out of the box. In the end this is no SSD in terms of speed but for file storage look no further. The drive ran very cool as it only has one platter inside and was in a case with fans blowing cool air directly on it. Specifically looking at power consumption this actually used less power than an old 5900 RPM 750 GB WD green drive from 2009 that I have while of course obliterating it in the performance sector. By switching to 1 TB platters, the performance has greatly increased and their power consumption reduced over their multi platter predecessor. Overall Review: Overall I am very impressed with Western Digital’s new and improved drives. Again not really a con as it wasn’t really that bad just more than the old model. Granted it was not secured into a case like it should but the Vibration Control Technology featured in this family of drives probably would have reduced that as it is only present in the 2 TB and up drives, so my drive being the 1 TB variant, it doesn’t have it. So if you don’t have a SATA III capable motherboard, don’t worry about it.Ĭons: The only con that I can think of is very minor but while sitting on a motherboard box, the vibration produced by the hard drive was more than I expected and was more than the previous model also tested on the same box. I also tested the new drive on a SATA II connection and as I figured the results were within a margin of error as some values were higher and some were lower than when on the SATA III connection. I tested the previous model of this drive being the WD1003FAEX from 2010 vs. (Older model was WAY louder, heard it constantly) The only time I ever heard it was when it went into its standby phase and I could hear it spin down as it was shutting off. ![]() Very quiet, never made a sound while in use. ![]() Osman has made appearances on many panel shows, including Would I Lie to You?, Have I Got News for You, I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, The Unbelievable Truth, QI, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. If you were to watch superman flight scenes from it's earlier seasons, you'll see that it's actually an animated segment because they didn't have the budget for flying scenes at the time, money was pretty tight and TV was a new medium that was seen as a gamble when we were transitioning away from radio. Taking a in depth look at it from today's prospective would tempt you to look for special effects flaws. The special effect were well done for their time. I guess it was a 70s thing where as today we can just binge watch them on netflix. But what I am getting at is that Green Hornet didn't have a lot of continuity to it either, there would be a plot that concluded in the episode that it started from and next week you can tune in for another story. Not to be outdone by batman, the hornet had a very unique way of tackling crime compared to the dark knight. It's attributes give you the feeling of the Green Hornet with bruce lee (which was also airing at that time). It is a great show, and well worth watching. While some comic book characters make their way to the television series (and Steve Trevor is the co-star), for the most part the TV series is it's own world. They don't unnecessarily focus on her body parts.īut if you're looking for television adaptations of her comic book stories, this isn't the place to look. They don't sexualize her or treat her like nothing more than a pretty lady. I keep thinking it will be more fan serve than I am looking for.ĭo you mean fan service? Wonder Woman is not a fan service show. ![]() They were designed this way so that you could come in at any week and watch her adventures without feeling like you've missed out on anything. Most of the episodes are one-and-done style stories with very little carry over between episodes. There's very little continuity to the series, and it largely takes a "monster of the week" style approach to story telling. But the show is very much a product of the times. She's strong, smart, and compassionate, all the things that Wonder Woman was meant to be. Lynda Carter is terrific as Wonder Woman (and Diana Prince). I'm only making this preface because there are some people that genuinely can't enjoy shows from the 70s (or earlier). As long as you're familiar with and can handle television shows from the era, it's great.
